Refund & Cancellation Policy
This policy explains how refunds and cancellations work for Honour Guard's services. It operates in addition to, and does not limit, your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
1. Advice period
During an engagement, if you are not satisfied with the direction of the work, tell us and we will work with you to correct it within a reasonable time before any refund is considered.
2. When a refund applies
- Work not commenced: if you cancel before we begin, we refund any amount paid, less any directly incurred, non-recoverable costs.
- Work partly completed: if you cancel during an engagement, you pay for work completed at the agreed rate to the date of cancellation. Any unused prepaid balance is refunded.
- Significant delay or failure: if delay or failure to deliver is our responsibility and significantly affects the value of the services, you may cancel and receive a refund for the unused portion.
3. When a refund does not apply
No refund is provided for advisory opinions, assessments or reports already delivered and accepted, where the work has been performed properly and meets the agreed scope. As set out in our Terms, we do not guarantee security outcomes, so a refund is not available simply because a risk assessment concludes a certain result.
4. How to request a refund
Email info@honourguard.com.au with your name, engagement details and reason. We respond within a reasonable time (usually 14 days) and, where a refund is owed, return it to the method you paid with.
5. Chargebacks & disputes
If you have a dispute, please contact us first so we can resolve it directly. You may also raise a complaint with New South Wales Fair Trading or the ACCC.
