Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Honour Guard (“we”,“us”,“our”) handles personal information we collect through this website. It is written to be clear and practical, and is aligned with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
1. What we collect
We collect only the personal information reasonably necessary to respond to your enquiry and, if you ask, to send you our free security checklist:
- Contact form: your name, email address and message.
- Checklist request: your email address.
We do not collect sensitive information such as government identifiers, health, or financial details through this website.
2. Why we collect it
- to respond to your enquiry;
- to send the free security checklist you have requested;
- if you opt in, to occasionally send relevant security updates (only with your consent).
3. Consent & marketing
We only send marketing email if you give us express, unticked opt-in consent. Submitting a contact form enquiry on its own is not consent to receive marketing. If you opt in, every email includes our business name, ABN and a working unsubscribe link, and we honour unsubscribes within 5 working days.
4. How we store and secure your information
Your details are stored only in the tools we need to reply (our email service and contact database), access limited to staff, and protected by reasonable security measures. We do not sell or rent your personal information.
5. Disclosure
We do not share your personal information with third parties except: (a) our email/hosting providers to deliver the messages you asked for, and (b) where required or permitted by law. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics cookies (see our Cookie Policy).
6. Access, correction and deletion
You may ask us to provide, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, free of charge. Email info@honourguard.com.au and we will respond within a reasonable time (usually 30 days).
7. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, tell us first and we will try to resolve it. You may also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
8. Changes
We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. The latest version is always available here with its date.
